My story so far.
I was born in the 60's in the UK.  A rather large baby and horrible as a child so my mum has told me :)  I grew up with 2 younger sisters.  Went to High School and received a reasonable education.

Did a bit in civilain life before I began my career in the British Army.  Spent some time in Germany then returned to the UK, London to be exact where I met my new partner Jan. We went out for 2 years before getting married in the February of 1988. We were married for 9 months before our first little bundle of joy Mark decided to join us in December.  Don't let anyone tell you having children is easy, phew he was hard work. (Cannot imagine where he got that from ;-).

In 1990 we were posted to Germany which was fantastic except Jan had never been abroad before and to begin with found it difficult. It was both exciting and scarey for her. We lived in a large German groundfloor flat in a lovely village on the Dutch border.  The German people are wonderful and the lifestyle was brilliant.  Jan eventually found her feet and was loving the eperience.  Then we had another little darling, Daniel in the August.

We eventually came back to good old blighty where we had 2 further postings and finally settled here in Dorset on the South Coast. Jan, Mark and Daniel are all doing very well for themselves. Both boys are growing into fine young men. Very proud and lucky.

We have 2 mad dogs Hardy and Molly.  Hardy is a 7 year old Border Collie with a dodgy ear and a love for football and Molly is a 2 years old Jack Russel/Lurcher cross, very strange but lovely.

I enjoy watching football, rugby and any other sport to be honest with you, my playing days are well gone, too damaged.  I enjoy the gym, trying to keep this middle age spread at bay and failing lol.

We love to visit the family when we can and we want to travel the world as much as possible.  We have made so many great friends and have so many memories and are always embarking on new adventures.

We have recently adopted two bee hives! Why, I hear you ask. Our fuzzy black and yellow friends are vital to our well-being as they pollinate the plants that we grow for food. But our British bees and the worlds are in crisis. Their population is dwindling at an alarming rate under attack from viruses, pesticides and mites. People say "If we lose the bees the earth will die". Is that not a good reason to adopt a hive.

Throughout my website you will come across many articles, I try to give credit where credit is due, unfortunately some of the articles posted are  authorless so I cannot give credit to them.

Here are some of my favourite quotes. Enjoy ;-).

"Leaders are made, they are not born. They are made by hard effort, which is the price which all of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile." ~Vince Lombardi

"Failure is the opportunity to begin again, more intelligently".

"How can you learn and grow when you never step out and try something new and exciting? There is never a lack of resources, only a lack of ideas. Without risk, there can be no progress. All of us only have so much sand left in the hourglass, and one day our sand will run out. The time to risk is now and the great ones know it." ~Steve Siebold

"The best way to cheer yourself is to cheer somebody else up".
"I can resist everything except temptation".

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
                                                         "Swings and Roundabouts".
"Honesty is always the best policy".

"No pain, No gain".               "Its character building".

"Some desire is necessary to keep life in motion".

"Fortune knocks but once, but misfortune has much more patience".

"The best time to give advice to your children is while they're still young enough to believe you know what you're talking about."
~Evan Esar

"Those who say it cannot be done
shouldn’t interrupt the people doing it"

"Friendship is always a sweet responsibility,
                                                    never an opportunity".

"Failure is only the opportunity to begin again,
                                                     only this time more wisely".

And finally one that I believe in very strongly......

"Stop worrying about those things outside of your control.  Concentrate on what IS within your control".
